AS WE CELEBRATE THE FOURTH OF JULY
Clearwater, FL – July 4, 2025 –The birth of our great nation—I can’t help but pause and reflect on what America has meant to me personally: the values that built this country and the responsibility that comes with them.
As a little girl in Egypt, my image of the USA was shaped by the few black-and-white Westerns I had seen, and the whimsical commercials that aired during Christmas time. Moreover, I had heard positive things about this young country, so imagined America having streets that were shiny and made of polished marble. To me, this was a land glistening with promise.
When we arrived, I saw that the streets weren’t of marble—but what did shine was the freedom to build a better life, and the chance to work hard, learn, and contribute. That is the true beauty of America: the dignity of opportunity.

EMPOWERING PEOPLE WITH THE TOOLS AND KNOWLEDGE TO RISE ON THEIR OWN!
That same belief is at the heart of Water 4 Mercy and is what built our great country.
Giving a ‘Hand-UP’ is when true transformation happens, not through handouts. This is PROVEN and also at the heart of our partners’ work—whether it’s through Innovation Africa for clean water, learning from CultivAid to be good water stewards by growing exponential yields of nutritious foods, or training African experts with Don Bosco Technical Institutes of Africa to teach others through our Agricultural Innovation and Technology Centers, AITeC. With Don Bosco in Embu, Kenya, and Don Bosco Technical Training College in Dodoma, Tanzania together, we are growing a new generation of experts for the future of water, food and nutritional security, giving a hand up—and restoring dignity, one community at a time.

AS AMERICANS, WE’RE BLESSED WITH THE FREEDOM TO CHOOSE, TO BUILD, TO DREAM.
At Water 4 Mercy, we believe the true spirit of America is not just in what we’ve achieved, it’s in how we empower others to thrive. That’s in the first 3 words of our mission statement: Upholding human dignity!

The World’s Experts on Water Usage: Look at Israel’s numbers compared to the rest of the world
“THE LIGHT BULB DID NOT COME ABOUT BY THE CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT OF BURNING THE CANDLE!”
This quote says it all. We are empowering African communities with knowledge from the world’s water experts and the best stewards of water – on the earth!! Refer to New York Times Best Seller: Let There Be Water: Israel’s Solution for a Water-Starved World.
The knowledge we’re transferring is unprecedented—groundbreaking and never before implemented—agricultural practices that are producing extraordinary crop yields unlike anything ever seen before.

The very first step on the road towards economic independence: Building the Water Tower
BECAUSE THAT’S HOW THE UNITED STATES WAS BUILT
—not with handouts, but with hard work, resilience, and a commitment to something greater than ourselves.
That’s the spirit of America—not just in what we’ve accomplished, but in the belief that with the right tools and opportunity, anyone can rise, not only to succeed—but to use what we’ve learned to help others thrive.
TRUE PATRIOTISM ISN’T JUST WAVING A FLAG—IT’S USING OUR LIBERTY TO LEAVE THE WORLD BETTER THAN WE FOUND IT.
